We are seeking for our client a Senior DataQuality Analyst who will play a crucial role in ensuring that our master, reference, and transactional data is fit for purpose. This role is pivotal in
identifying, investigating, and resolving data issues affecting planning, reporting, and other operational processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Investigate data issues to identify root-causesof data issues and problems, to enable efficient resolution and raise change requests for technology fixes or data improvement initiatives with data stewards.
  • Specifically this role is responsible forundertaking investigations into data issues to identify root-causes of data issues and problems, to enable efficient resolution and raise change requests for technology fixes or data improvement initiatives with Data Owners and Stewards.
  • Design and apply data quality tests to ensuredata is of appropriate quality (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, validity, etc. to support the business needs in context
  • Develop work-flows to alert business users todata quality issues needing their attention and/or intervention and providing them with collateral information to inform their action or decision.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to track dataquality in the aggregate for senior management, including but not limited to: overall accuracy, trends, churn, spikes and emerging risks.
  • In conjunction with Data Modellers and DataStewards establish and publish definitions for data terms and for individual values of qualitative reference data.
  • Make recommendation to operational support forenhancement to systems of records to improve accuracy of operational data.
  • Define manualadjustments to temporarily correct time-critical issues, and working with
    users, data stewards, and operations teams to ensure fixes are applied
    correctly.
  • You will alsocontribute to improvements in tools, methods, processes, documentation, and
    controls within the team
  • Your proactive,analytical, and investigative mindset will be key in using data quality reporting tools, system reconciliations, and direct data analysis to proactively identify potential data issues for resolution.

Essential Skills

  • Background in data analysis and issueinvestigation in a complex data and system environment.
  • Good understanding of data quality anddata management principles.
  • Proactive, analytical and investigative mindset.
  • Proficient in Office applications (Word,Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communicationskills.
  • Experience using data quality profilingand monitoring tools.
  • Experience in querying data using SQL.
  • Experience creating reports.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in the public sector organisations, housing association or local government
