We are seeking a talented Data Scientist for our client. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for analysing complex datasets to provide valuable insights and drive data-based decision-making processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Utilise advanced analytics techniques to extract, transform, and analyse large
    datasets.
  • Developpredictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve business challenges.
  • Collaboratewith cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to
    drive business solutions.
  • Design and implement data-driven solutions using SQL, AWS, Python, AI, Java, Hadoop,
    VBA, spark, and Big data technologies.
  • Interpretand communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise
    manner.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to evaluate candidateopportunities for data science projects and recommend application of analytics/ML models to improve processes. Specifically, the role will need to work with the cleints to identify opportunities to leverage data science
    capabilities.
  • Perform analysis and create relevant collateralfor communicating analytics outputs.
  • Create and maintain user stories related to thedelivery of data science projects (product backlog).
  • Work with Data Engineering colleagues toprioritise building ETL processes to promote relevant datasets to the data lake.
  • Extract, cleanse, and analyse large volumes ofdata from multiple data sources.
  • Conduct statistical tests to validatehypotheses.
  • Build and deploy machine learning models tosolve business problems, liaising with business users and stakeholders to continuously improve and refine services. Communicate findings of data analysis andmodelling results to the stakeholders to help facilitate data-informed
    decisions or actions.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, AWS, Python, AI, Java, Hadoop, VBA, spark, and Big data technologies.
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related
    field; Master's degree preferred.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working with UK public sector clients or local government
