As an Agile Coach, you will advocate, coach and support Agile working. Your primary focus will be on the continued adoption and practice of Scrum, Scaled Agile, Lean and/or Kanban principles and practices. Responsible for training and coaching product and platform teams and other Agile practitioners across the University and supporting them to deliver data-driven outcomes and solutions that result in measurable business benefits.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proven track record in using a range of coaching styles to deliver measurable improvements in project, product and team performance
- Guiding teams and projects on Agile/Scrum practices and values.
- Responsible for promoting and ensuring consistent standards/monitoring/ways of working are adopted across all Agile teams.
- Coaching in all core Scrum events (Release Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives).
- Responsible for providing regular updates on progress to relevant stakeholders (incl. Project Management, Product Managers, Product Owners).
- Coaching to enable agile/scrum teams to represent themselves at project update/review meetings.
- Coaching to enable agile/scrum teams to remove team impediments/blockers or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to liaise with.
- Coaching the agile/scrum teams to support and educate Product Owners, especially with respect to refining and maintaining product backlogs.
- Coach the agile/scrum teams to become responsible for their throughput (Velocity).
- Provide Agile training sessions and teach valuable skills. Provide hands-on support to all employees, collaborating with people across widely varying levels and roles.
- Educate at all levels, including senior and executives, on Agile principles and values.
- Facilitate teams on the identification and definition of OKRs and KPIs that help set and assess business value delivered by the transformation.
- Coach less experience Scrum Masters or Delivery Managers in forming and supporting Agile teams
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Excellent Scrum and Lean Kanban Experience
- Agile Methodology
- Strong Coaching knowledge
- Metrics-driven approach including flow, outcomes and alignment
- Robust value stream design, product flow and systems thinking
- Significant experience in software development
- Experience of successfully delivering some level of business process change
- Must have worked on several Business Change Programmes or Projects
- Working with internal company staff members, external suppliers & external customers
- Organised, professional and with a "can do" attitude
- AdaScrum Master Certification

- Experience of working for an IT consultancy
- SAFe Scrum Master
- SAFe Advanced Scrum Master
- BCS EXIN Practitioner Certificate in Agile Scrum Master
